Do You Want Go To Heaven

 
It was the hottest day of August
All of of us were down by the banks of the Paint Rock River
8월의 어느 가장 무더운 날이었지
우리 모두는 페인트 락 강의 강변 옆까지 내려갔지
I was next in line to be baptised at the innocent age of ten 
And I’ll never forget, I remember it yet
침례를 받는 줄에서 내가 다음 차례였고,  아직 10살의 나이였지
그리고 난 절대 잊지 못할거야, 난 아직도 그걸 기억해
The taste of that clear, pure] water
And that preacher’s words still fill my head and I hear them now and then
그 깨끗하고 맑던 물맛을
그리고 그 목사님의 말씀이 아직도 내 머리를 채우고 그 말씀을 그때도 지금도 들어
He said, “Do you.Wanna go to heaven
And I said Yeah, just lead me on’.
그분은 "넌 천국에 가고 싶니?"라고 말했고
나는 "네, 저를 이끌어주세요." 라고 말했어
“Take my hand, can you feel that feelin’?”
And I said, “Yes just lead me on” 
"내 손을 잡아바, 그 느낌이 느껴지니?"
그리고  "네, 저를 그냥 이끌어주세요."라고 말했어
It was the hottest day of summer 
And our final high school dance was just about over
여름 중 가장 더웠던 날이었지
우리 고등학교 마지막 댄스파티가 막 끝났었지
I was old enough for the taste of love when boys turn into men
And I’ll never forget, I remember it yet, the taste of that clear, pure water
남자아이들이 남자가 되었을 때 나는 사랑 취향을 갖기에 충분히 성숙했지
나는 절대 잊지 않을거야. 나는 여태 기억해. 투명하고 맑은 물의 맛을
But the preacher’s words I barely heard, as sweet Bonnie Lou gave in
She said,” Do you...
하지만, 내가 간신히 들었던 그 목사님의 말은 사랑스런 보니 로가 들려주듯이 감미로왔어.
그녀는 말했어 '당신은
It was a lonely night in August
She was sittin’ at the end of the bar when I saw her
8월의 어느 외로운 밤이었다
내가 그녀를 보았을 때, 그녀는 술집 끝자리에 앉아있었고
And with a little wine and an little time she would be a prize to win
Now I’ll never forget, I remember it yet, the taste of that clear, pure water
약간의 와인과 조금의 시간을 들이면, 그녀는 넘어갈 것 같았어 
난 결코 잊지 않을 것이며. 난 아직도 그것을 기억해요, 깨끗하고 맑은 물맛을
But that preacher’s words could not be heard, when she whispered, “ Come on in”
하지만 그 목사님의 말들은, 그녀가 "자 이리로 들어와요"라고 속삭였을 때, 들릴지 않았어 
He said, “Do you.Wanna go to heaven
And I said Yeah, just lead me on’.
그분은 "넌 천국에 가고 싶니?"라고 말했고
나는 "네, 저를 이끌어주세요." 라고 말했어
